Well, i pulled my heater box this evening expecting the worst. The box itself was disgusting, covered in mouse/rat crap and urine. The inside, however looks pretty good. I'm hoping my heater core is fine. I'm going to take the heater core and my evaporator to be checked out before reinstalling. In any event, I'm glad I pulled it. Needed to be done.

I haven't, but I've heard nothing but good about both him and his products.

Cool. Looks like they have the firewall insulation as well. Placing an order today.

My car was the prototype for both of these and they are perfect.
Jim went above and beyond the call of duty on these.

I don't advertise on my website but did put a banner for them, my thanks for doing this. (I get nothing for doing it)

Thanks Alan. That's good to know.

I ordered the A/C-Heater Box kit, the firewall insulation pad kit, the shoddy pad kit, and a roll of 10' x 4' heat/soundproofing to put under my headliner on the roof. And they included free shipping, so that was pretty great too.

Off to get the heater core checked and cleaned out if necessary at the radiator shop tomorrow. Hopefully the evaporator gets dropped off tomorrow as well.

Ouch. Well, just heard back from the radiator shop. Heater core is bad. He attempted to find a source to replace what was necessary, but no one makes heater cores in that size. So, Obsolete Air it is. $304.99 later...and it appears I have a brand new heater core on the way. On the upside, my evaporator is good and he's going to flush that out for me so will be good to go whenever I get my A/C set up.

Received all my stuff from DMT yesterday and looks good. I hope to get the heater boxes cleaned up this weekend and new seals installed and ready for the new heater core. It'll be a good diversion from removing the old glue and readying my roof for the new vinyl top and attempting to get the rest of the dash removed and cleaned up and painted. Moving along....

I'll post a pic when I get the heater box done.
