Hi Everyone
My 72 Fury 4 door hardtop with air con has a lot of electrical gremlins and related problems with its lights, hazards and wiring. The usual matters that many owners on this great forum talk about regularly. I’ve fixed the dome light, horn, door open buzzer, and fuel gauge, but the ash, glovebox, hazards, indicators, plate, and backup are still awaiting repair. In the process of doing so, I have been what this relay looking aluminium cylinder is, down near the steering column. One red, and 2 yellow/black wires to it, if I remember correctly. The only writing on it is “Made in USA”.

Thanks everyone for any assistance.

It's the timer for the ignition key lock. Open the drivers door, close it and the light stays on for a bit.
You’re awesome Big_John!

Is there any part of these cars that leaves you feeling like a newcomer?

I read your posts, old and new, just about every day, and there’s no aspect of the C body you don’t know about.
It’s so fantastic.
