Hi All, I'm John Clements (LeBaron1973) from Adelaide South Australia. Nice to be here.

I've just purchased a white with blue brocade interior 1973 Imperial LeBaron Sedan.

My friend collected it from Salt Lake City and is driving her (called Lee (F)) back to Wisconsin.

The car will stay there and I'll drive her when in the States, and my friend whenever he wishes.

No photos as yet, but will post when I get some.

I also have 4 Lincoln's and a Cadillac Limousine.

That's it for now.

Hello from Minnesota. That's very nice of you to leave your car with a friend that they can drive! Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City!
keep your eyes open for a nice car in the Detroit area that you can drive when you're in town....

Welcome aboard. Look forward to the pics. Is it safe to assume you spend a significant amount of time in the U.S. to make this arrangement worth while?

I hope to spend a lot of time there and Canada, probably two trips a year as I'm retired. I hope to move to Vancouver Canada in a few years once I'm free of my four lady cats - they're 12/13/14/14 respectively.

As for Perry being Lucky with my cars in Menasha, (LOL) I have a 1977 Andy Hotton Associates (AHA) Lincoln coupe convertible conversion with continental kit, 1978 Lincoln Town Coupe with continental kit, 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, and the Imperial for him to choose from. I'm coming over on November 18 to assist at the MCACN car show in Chicago, then a couple of weeks touring and three weeks in Vancouver, before three days in Dallas in early January, then home.

Will be fun except for the lousy exchange rate. Last time virtually parity, now around 70c.

Can't complain, it's great to be able to travel.

What did you do for a living?

I used to be a courier driver for an Aussie company called Toll Holdings (Now owned by the Japanese Post Office) then my father died and the accountant and bank manager said "you don't have to work anymore" so YIPPEE, I retired on my 54th birthday, then bought a few cars, and am now rebuilding my cash reserves from investment income - figured I was allowed some fun and now have to be sensible so I continue to have funds.

All is proceeding nicely.
