Does anyone know where the horn relay would be on a '73 newport? My horn gave out a while ago, and decided to mess with it a little today. I put a hot wire straight from the battery to the horns, and they work fine. The steering wheel buttons checked out, as well as the fuse, and ground.
So have to assume it is the relay.. However I can't find the damn thing to save my life. I did find 2 relay's under the dash that almost look like the relay for the horn, yet the picture's I have show a square/rectangle relay with 3 prongs. one for power coming in, the other for power going out, and the last for the fuse. The square relays I found had 2 prongs. One was right above the center ash tray, and the other by the hood release.
I unplugged both of these, and tried to hot wire the plugs to see if the horn would work to no avail...
I did find another round relay, but this was for the blinker's.
Anyone have an idea? I was looking for 3 hour's, about to pull my hair out lol
