66 furry 3 2 door hard top. I have most of the trim on the car already off. But haven’t figured out out to remove this trim along the window? I see screws every so often hidden underneath the weather stripping. So does the weather stripped just come out on its own then simply remove the trim? Or is the trim and weather stripping one unit?

You should be able to pull the rubber out carefully.

Best to mention what car you are working with.

From the backside of the weatherstrip, loosen it and carefully roll it out toward you. It should not be held with any adhesive, other than possibly a few dabs in a few places. You'll see a lip which locks the rubber into the channel it is in. There should be a plastic retainer at the base of the A-pillar. It should just pull out with a pair of pliers or diag cutters, gently. It can be reused.

With the weatherstrip removed, THEN the screws come into play. I suspect there is a thin rubber gasket along the channel where it mounts to the body. It might be stuck, so be careful to get the rubber released rather than bend the channel.

If you have not done so, download a factory service manual at www.mymopar.com . I suspect any of the C-body brands will work in this area. Ply, Dodge, or Chrysler. They should all be the same in this particular area and situation.
