But it’s a dry heat….
Umm no thank you.:icon_fU:

No place is perfect I guess.
Nope, certainly not. The good thing about the heat is it's the only thing keeping even more people from moving here. As it is 100,000 a year are coming. Without out the extreme heat it would be a million.

I'll take the summer weather over winter weather any day of the week.
Hot is better than cold

I really don't see how people can live in 'Tornado Alley' aaaYep the season is starting already...

We get them here in Florida but rarely along the coast (waterspouts) Last couple we had decades ago I had to go looking around for the damage. Closest one that came through my backyard a decade ago was a straight line wind sheer type thing and some of the insulation it deposited I could only guess came from the Flight College building (destroyed, along with about 100 planes) way out by the Speedway about 2 miles to the west.

Back when I lived in Manatee County we had a big waterspout come up the river depositing fish all along the banks, some thought that was cool... I'm just glad I was far enough up river that it petered out before it reached us and we didn't have to clean up that mess.

Sanibel??? You suck.
No...you do. You get to have these nice temps the 4th & 1st quarters of every year while we freeze up north.
Besides the weather, the views are nice too.

Kudos to you @commando1 for choosing FL over staying up north once your working days were over.
Definitely a smart move.

Good day for drinking some cold ones.....
