I just got a Hurst competition plus for my 1966 Sport Fury to replace my sloppy/broken Inland. I ordered for 66 c-body console shift. Pulled the Inland today and went to put in the Hurst and the lower bolt/mounting hole is almost a half inch off. I confirmed the part number on the box is correct and everything is right. I thought about removing the mounting plate on the transmission to get a pattern and machine another one that would fit the hurst but the Allen screws in it will not budge. So now I’m not sure what to do. Anybody with any experience in this swap that could enlighten me? Thanks for any help!!
