I haven't seen one of these before...

It was a 1957 Plymouth with some 1958 rear parts and a Superbird wing.

Where did you get the picture? It looks like you took it out of a book or magazine. It never surprises me any more with what people think are "creative" ideas.

Member Glen Barnett took these here in Wisconsin. The owner sounds just as "Colorfull" as the car looks.

What's the story there Bob and/or Pete? He just some eccentric with some yard sculpture collection?

Dial Up Glenn here. Found this 57 Belvedere down by Lodi Wi. John the owner built the wing back in 66 or 67 along with a hopped up engine drag raced the car into the 70s. He claims it was his own creation and dident copy the Daytona or Superbird, So John just might has been the insperation for the Superbird, Daytona! I like to think there was a designer from Chrysler up in the stands one day and a light bulb went off in his head , WALLA the Daytona , Superbird was born !!John is in his sixties, and looks like a hillbilly right down to his glass eye that lears at you as he told me the story behind the wing and showed me around, theres also a very weatherd 67 Imp convert and 67 Polara hardtop there along with many more interesting hulks. He said hed take 5K for the 57 Plymouth. It comes complete with hoodscoop, Bucket seats, tack, it did have what looked like Fury door pannels with the gold insert, but the car is a Belvedere, it also has a four speed in it, It would make a great retro rod , just get it up and running then show it just the way it is in all its natural patenna

Matt, that car was featured in the "Car Spotter" segment of the June 2013 Collectible Automobile magazine (should be on shelves now). The pictures were submitted by "Dial Up Glennb49" (He just made the post above) and I believe he sold the 1973 yellow sunroof Imp to Ross. Small world.......
