I like it.

I would have left the chrome trim on the tail lights, just like he did with the grille.

When C-body bumpers were snug up against the body and accurately followed the lines and contours of the body, painted bumpers pull it off very well and I like it. But only a few C-bodies. The example above pulls it off very well.
A '67 Newport could not pull it off for example.

A little to 80's for me, I looks like something Tubbs would have traded his Caddy in for.

I know but there's just something about it that I really like..

If he left the tail lights chrome I'd like it more.

After that, lay it out and that car would be hot..
If ya like it, ya like it. Doesn't matter what anyone says ultimately.

A '64 Eldo Convertible in silver-blue? For a tarted-up Dodge? I mean, I know this is a Mopar forum, and I do like that Dodge, but c'mon.

I'd take that Caddy over this in a heartbeat, I built a model of it in the same blue with the white interior.

Is it worth $13.5k? I'd say that's a perfect test case for my theory about modified cars not being worth more than a stock car in equally nice shape. Would anyone be saying it was worth the money if the owner had put that work into restoration?

My comment about the Cadillac aside, I do like the car, and he didn't do anything that can't be returned to stock, so that's the "perfect" amount of modification. I'd like it lower, and I'd want something else with the wheels. Chrome rear light bezels, too. But I like the color, the two-tone, the vibe.

(just saw your reply, Alan. I totally agree. A '64 Cadillac is really the car I would have, if all things were equal. All things aren't equal, however, and '64 Cadillacs don't have rear seatbelts (could be retrofitted) or safety glass (harder to retrofit), which were requirements from my wife for driving her babies around in my car. Luckily for me Elwood Engel made his way to Chrysler, and I'm pretty darn happy with the results.)

Rear seatbelts were optional on 64 Caddy's,I've had a few. Most owners never use them and they get tucked between the seats for better looks.I like this Dodge and I can live with the color but I think a more modern two-tone subdued metallic paint would look even better, and I'd have left the taillights chrome. Also needs a lower stance to pull it all off right!

If it was just a metallic green it might not be so bad but the pearl kills it for me.

I always prefer chrome bumper to painted...chrome would allow the front grille treatment to "flow". Whith the painted bumper the look is "clipped" in my opinion.

Also for me, the 50's style wide white is an acceptable look up to the end on the Exner cars...after that the widest white that work with slabs, fuseys and formals are the 2.5 inch white walls that still have some black between the rim and the whitewall (you know the ones that aren't made anymore). This is as wide as I would get for one of these cars...probably Cokers.
