I've been doing mechanical work for family, friends and others for over 35 years and have run shops for 27 years. Since I do it at home now, I've decided to look for Time labor guide software. I found it and it's incredible. https://www.autolaborexpert.com 10 dollars a month or they have per year. 14 day free trial also. No credit card needed.

If you do mechanical work on the side and want to be a little more professional this is a great piece of software. You put in the year make model and it gives you the flat rate charge for installing parts for that model. You add in your parts cost and you can print up an estimate or invoice.

Check it out if this interests you. Picture is a shrunk down version of an estimate (PDF) I'm doing for a customer that has a 1992 Lexus LS400 that needs repair. It also works on mobile devices iPads and so on!
