I'm gonna fix it up some day...

The guy I bought my Plymouth from "Was Restoring it" all he did was make it worse and loose half the fasteners I needed, I'm glad he bought another project after he got another job, kept him from screwing my car up worse.

Some people restore cars, some people talk about restoring cars, and some people keep them because they'll Restore it.

Why is it they always store these "fix em up sometime" cars out in the elements, thinking that a moisture trapping tarp could help, making a resto more elaborate from day to day and saving highly unlikely ? Got some sort of this myself, a very rare "basketcase" that won't be touched for a long time but it's stored in a dry storage building.

I absolutly agree.
Those who should survive must be stored indoors

What he said...

Rare basket case in storage? Tell me more please

Yeah cm23umc, tell us more

I wasn't getting more specific as it is a German 1971 Opel Commodore GS 2.8 two door post sedan, but since you asked and we've already had some pics of cheese I guess it's alright to show a German GM product :). At least you see the American influence in the overall design including the coke bottle shape. This was homologation series for European touring car racing with 323 cars produced. Looks alright from a distance but badly beat up in numerous accidents plus sluggish rust repairs. Sorry I couldn't come up with a mauve first gen. Hemi Charger or sth. :)

C'mon fellas, a 340 6 pak is what that car needs! Kool car though.

A couple of V8 conversions with a CSB of the mass produced versions of this body style were done by some owners, mostly rather cheap without additional bracing which is recommended.

That thing is screaming for a SBC.

Put a SBC in one of those things, you'll put your eye out! Just ask Bob Lutz about their chassis dynamics...

That pic is a classic, forgot the story behind it but there was some trouble in the headquarters. I think these were early production or preproduction models for demonstration of the revised Kadett with coil springs on the rear axle instead of the leafes used before. They didn't like his way anyways and he moved on to BMW and Ford Germany where he had tremendous achievements to put them back on track with their renewed models and innovations in marketing and extended warranties.
