Hi, I hope this hasn't been posted before, because I couldn't find it.
The 100% bone stock, factory exhaust has gotten a little rust over the 50 years of life, and now leaks significantly, into the cabin, and on cold starts in the morning, I can see the steam coming out all over:lol:. I'm looking to go through it, replacing everything headers back. Only issue is, I can't seem to find any headers that fit a 1967 C-Body with a 318. I found one that fits 318 Poly's, but from what I know, the heads are different, so they must also have different exhaust ports. I have also found some for a 440, but that's a big block, and also a thousand dollars!
To sum up, any help finding some headers for a '67 C-Body with a 318 would be awesome.
Thanks!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, if they fit a 67 b-body, they'll fit the c-body. Especially if yours is a console shift.

After doing some quick research, it seems that they will fit perfectly on the driver side, but in almost every case, the torsion bar will be in the way on the passenger side. Thanks anyways.

What about an E-body? They are wider than a b-body. Probably the same headers, B&E.

Uh-oh. As I do research, it seems that I will have to back order off of shumaker, or get some custom made! Both very expensive!
I don't buy that. look into shorty headers

Well looks like I'm keeping the stock exhaust for now. I don't want to spend the money on headers that might not fit, since I have no guarantee. Thanks for y'alls input though.

I would think A Body headers would fit as they're designed for a tight fit and torsion bar suspension, you might have to invest in a mini starter though.
You can pick them up for less than a couple of hundred from Advance, so not an enormous investment.
If it's column shift and the shift linkage is in the way, I've seen a kit that get's around the pipe, might of been at TTI, but can't remember.

No one makes a header for a small block LA engine in a C-Body. No. Body.
Nothing designed for an A,B or E body works in a C-body straight out of the box. Not for B/RB or LA engines.
The only thing that is remotely close and doesn't require you to modify the header itself is 5.2/5.9 Dodge Dakota/Ram Truck headers.
EVERYTHING else requires some sort of fabrication or extreme fabrication to make it work.
Check the Facebook Plymouth Fury Owners page for more info on this non existing part

I didn't know there were C-bodies w/ LA 318 small-block engines. Many headers out there. The small-block was made thru ~2000, ending as the 5.2/5.9L Magnum V-8 (318 and 360 cu in). Those heads and blocks interchange w/ 1960's small-blocks (273-360 cu in). Many 60-70's A-body owners use the Magnum exhaust manifolds for better flow, so they bolt up. Blingy shorty headers are inexpensive too. I expect no problem clearing the steering box since further out on a C-body. Most exhaust shops should be able to fab a pipe to fit, even if the header is pointed directly at your T-bar (unlikely) since the flange should be well above the T-bar. Headers are more prone to leak than factory manifolds.

I was doing some searching for small block headers for a 71 Fury and found this conversation . I know it's an old topic but I figure I'm going to give these a try for the price I think its worth a shot .

My 64 Newport has a la318 in it but it’s not supposed to be lol

318 in 68 polara headers by Sanderson
Made for A body installation.
Perfect fit out of box..no mods no fabrication. Full size starter no interference from torsion bar. and yes you are all welcome...

Be sure to use ARP bolts and remflex copper gasket for flange and collectors. Also I coated mine with ceramic coating from eastwood products.

Before any one asks....

Yes those are magnum heads, but dimension wise the headers will still work.

And yes, shorty Ram headers will work...however, do NOT buy the cheapy ebay or low buck steel headers. You'll be replacing them too quickly.
I run Gibson stainless headers on my Ram with Remflex gaskets. The quality is obvious.
