I personally think that the asking price is a weeeeee bit high... like 3800 too high.....

Are there pics of 2 different cars in that ad without explanation?

Yeah Matt, I see what you mean. Maybe the other one is being offered for parts and its not mentioned in the ad. That project would be too time consuming for me.

"Very Rare" doesn't always mean very desirable. I'd go a couple of grand on that but not much more.

I think it is a cool project. Just the colour isn't to my liking

I think there's two sets of pics of the same car. One taken by the previous seller. And those are AutoZone 500 stik-ons. The current seller is an idiot.

Looks like a POS if you ask me. The person selling it for that kind of money is out of line. Maybe if it was $500 it would a different story. It would need 5 to 6k just to look half way decent and that's just a start. The other thing about some people that post ads on CL,..what is it with the F-ing Caps lock!!??
Oh, and what in the hell does this mean? "PASSENGER DOOR SMASHED A CAR ROLLED INTO DOOR ??? IT OPENS THE BODY HAS SOME DINGS AND DENTS BUT SOLID AS A ROCK I BOUGHT THIS CAR WINTER JUST GOT IT SHIPPED HERE 3"

Really..! LMAO....

2 different cars , first one ( light yellow one ) was for sale on CL in SF area 1 year ago.

Naw, its the same car. When I posted this ad, I had recalled talking with the previous owner about getting the car, but another guy was there before me. When I called the previous owner back as he suggested to see if the sale would go through, he said he was having real problems with the sale of the car to the new buyer, and that he couldn't come up with the cash, but that he would be patient with him, etc., etc......................... Well, I think the original sale did go through months later like the new listing implies, but now the current owner is probably having second thoughts given the amount of work involved. When the original seller sent me some more photos "just in case" I then decided it wasn't for me. Probably made the right decision in my case at least.

First car with bumperguards , the other......???
2 different cars!!!!!

I read the 69Monaco post too quickly. I screwed up. Sorry. By the way, the fender tag on the light yellow one is coded A75 which is "Monaco 500 Ornamentation Package", so does that mean the car was originally a Canadian car? As discussed before, I thought that wasn't available in the U.S.

I did some research...US Monacos looked like this and the Monaco 500 was available on it. Canadian Monaco 500 trim looks like US Polara 500 trim. The one for sale appears to be a "real" US production Monaco 500.
