Is this normal on my 72 Fury rear taillight lens?

The title is self explanatory. I have what looks like black paint near the backup section of my Fury light lens.
See photos I took. I don’t think it’s meant to be there. I guess checking the other lens first would have been an idea too.
If it’s abnormal what do others recommend to clean light lenses of paint marks? Paint stripper?

I'd say it's supposed to be there and I would not remove it.

It's there to block the light from the tail/brake light from lighting up the reverse lens and vice versa. Here's one for sale and you can see the black in the same spot, albeit more faded. Yours happens to be in better shape.

Yes, it is meant to be there. It is applied by the manufacturer on a multitude of models' tail light lenses to highlight, mask for appearance, and/or prevent light bleed.

Was about to remove with some acetone or thinners..
