Jay often makes little mistakes on Mopar details, but you can definitely tell that he is a true car guy when he talks cars. I think he's correct when he refers to Chrysler as the engineering company.

What I like about Jay Leno is he drives the cars he has in his collection. Not many collectors do that.

I saw an interview once where a guy asked him why he drove his valuable cars like that. He said something like they are meant to be driven. I'll restore them, then drive them until they need restoring, then restore and drive them again. I like his views and would like his means....ccasion14:

Not quite at the airport and not in hangers.
He has multiple industrial units adjacent to the airport, about 60,000 sq ft for the collection and another 3,000 for the shop.

A very nice collection but not as massive as people think, maybe 100-150 cars and upwards of a 100 motorcycles.

I had unescorted access for close to an hour, I was having issues with my camera so I focused on general shots and not logging every car.

As far as I know there are no public tours and sometimes clubs can arrange one.

He is at the shop often and is fully involved in the work being done to the cars, if I'm correct he only has a handful of shop employees.
