Junkyard finds today

They are drying up in the Northwest. Especially the pick and pulls like this one was. About the oldest car I saw in here was a rather complete early 50's Hudson v8 something with nearly all of its chrome and trim. It looked like it was parked 50 years ago. It was sad to see so little in the way of vintage iron as most of the cars in here were late-model. But it felt GOOD just to be in a junkyard again.

Yes, they are especially the ones that have cars from the 40-70s. There was one out here in Richmond which unfortunately closed the summer of 2014. You would pass them on the road and crane your neck so much it could break. I believe the changing neighborhood caught up with them across the street.

Great finds, tree rows, junkyards, sheds, alley ways and forgotten roads and fields hold those hidden treasures.

That 56 Packard is a nice find. A senior car no less.
There are still a couple of "hidden gem" yards around here.
