When our own Mr. C was stationed here in OKC, he and I got together a few times to take the big cars out to shows and such. His younger son and my younger son were in the same grade in school and were best buds. In fact, they did not know Matt and I knew each other until a school event brought us all together! So, when the school JrROTC had their spring ball, our sons asked to use our cars to take their dates to the ball in. Both of us, of course, said NO! But, we'd be happy to chauffeur them in the big "C"s, instead! So, after posing with their friends and the cars, it was off to the ball! It was fun, pulling up to the dance in the two largest cars around, with our sons and their dates and friends piling out of my '78 NYBS and Matt's '74 Imperial hardtop.

These pics were taken a couple of years ago.

For you difference-spotters, look closely at the fronts of both cars...there ARE some differences, plus things unique to each car.

Easy....Mr.C's is a 74 Imp - no grill below the bumper. Your's has the special glow Salon wheels. The upper grills are different. Different hood ornaments.

Plus, the '78 has the outer front bumper guards (one-year-only), along with about 200 pounds of weight differences through different brackets and such. Matt showed me what all was different with a side-by-side comparison of the two cars. There really is a LOT that is unique to the '78 cars!

Front turn signal lens on the Imp ha Eagles molded in it. Rear side markers totally different.

Cool Mr C. We have billet for Royal Canadian AF next door on USTRANSCOM staff and sometimes have an RAF officer on staff too

Don't forget the time we saw American Graffiti at the drive in. Those were good times!

That was cool! We both got the looks from the hot-rodders, for certain. The movie event is a car GTG thing a guy in Guthrie, OK promotes and hosts every October. He runs two films, always car-related. This is one of two drive-in movie venues in the OKC Metro area. They recently upgraded their system to full digital, which really is pretty amazing on the outdoor screen.

I want your wagon.

I've worked with many Canadians since 1980, both as AF and as a contractor. I just wish they'd learn to spell properly! LOL!

I had some great experiences working with the Canadians too....overseas and at the Army Test Center, APG MD. We also talked about Trailer Park Boys a lot too! LOL!
