Well i have not done much to the 65 fury III as of late. was getting my 64 gmc painted for the car show last month. Did find a guy ive known for a few years now that has a 66 fury vip that he has been working on. He has a 66 fury III he has as a spare car. But it has a 65 fury spory front we think. I'm going to run over there this weekend to check it out. And if the front clip is as good as mine we are going to swap them out. He needs a good passanger fender for his and it would save us both a lot of welding and redrilling holes.

I'll try and get a few pics for you all. and keep you guys posted on my progress.

heres some pics of the 64 GMC after i painted her. Still need to pinstripe but that can wait.

Here is the pics his wife sent me of the 66 with 65 front clip. Looks like i may have another grill and all the trim i was missing or bent? And i hope that front bumper is in better shape then mine. oh and he tells me this grill still has the emblem in it. Said its faded but there!!

Mark ask him about the trim on the front of the fender! I still need those! Thank you man.
I'll see what i can do cause im still looking for a better set for mine. I think he said he had a 4 door fury out there also so we will see. I'll let you know.

I went out to his farm and looked at the front end. Looks just as good as mine so im going to trade him the 66 front clip and hood, and 66 rear bumper for the 65 front clip, hood and front bumper. I just need to find time to run out there and remove it all and put the 66 clip back on it.

On a side note he has a beutiful 65 monaco out there. And it looks to me like the interior is the same as the sport fury? The dash is differant but seats, door panels, console, and rear shelf all look like they would work in a fury?

Well ran up to inlaws and got the original 383 block and a complete 383 today. While looking for the pistons we found a dual 4 intake. Well the intake is off of a 58 poly 318. Case number is 1822004. Think we are goin to use the heads from the complete 383 cause it has the bigger exhaust valve the the original heads. Got a buddy I'm doing some body and paint work for. He work in a engine shop so we going to do some horse trading. And I should have a running motor in about a month if all works out.

You should have no problem selling that poly intake if you want. Those engines have a bit of a cult following that is steadily driving up perf parts prices. A used Weiand 7503 4v intake will fetch north of $500 now.

Sold the intake uncleaned for $300. Sold motor for $125 and sold trans for $100. All this weekend to 3 differant people. So now we got the money to rebuild the 4speed. New case, bearings, seals, shift fork, shift rod, etc....

That sounds great, post some pic's please, I wondered what was was happening with this project
