I have an 08 Grand Cherokee with 115,000 miles on it but there is nothing remarkable about that. I bought it in Indiana, sticker price was almost $35,000 and with the discounts at the time and my employee price I ended up paying around $21,000 and it came with a lifetime powertrain warranty. Now the point of this, in 2017 I had to have a new water pump installed and the warranty covered it. Just this week, the rear axle pinion bearings and seal was replaced, again under warranty. I'm always amazed when this works! I go thinking I'll get some push back but it never happens. In 10 years, other than the usual maintenance, I've only paid for two parts on this thing, a wheel speed sensor and an upper ball joint.

Surprised they are not saying that's just normal wear and tear

I have seen a lot of my customers that have purchased aftermarket warranty's only to find out that a lot of things are not covered. Sounds like Mopar got it right

Remember when this occurred. 2008/09 the Bankruptcy and Financial collapse was in full swing. Chrysler had to do something to reassure their buyers that they would be protected despite what happened to the company so this lifetime warranty came out. (In the USA only btw) It cost them a lot but came with a lot of caveats such as complying with all regular scheduled maintenance on time etc. I am glad to see that you have been well served by this promotional warranty and that you have had good service from both the Jeep and the Dealer. Proves the theory that we can build reliable vehicles despite what Consumer Reports spews..

I'm glad everything has worked out as planned!

I've got a buddy with a 2008 Charger with the same lifetime warranty. It has over 180k miles on it and he wants to sell it but can't bring himself to do it because he has put zero money into it. Anytime something breaks the dealer fixes it for free.

My wife bought the life the warranty for her '13 dart

I have a 09 ram that came with the lifetime drive train warranty. Just have to make sure that you have it inspected at the dealership every 5 years for free to maintain the warranty.

Yes, I did in 13 and just now.
