Ladies & Gentleman, this car needs no introduction here but I will give one anyway. Introducing the famous Linda Vaughn 1 of "2" (1) 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst convertible. The majority of us here 95-99% know who owns this rare drop-top, this car itself, and it's story. But if figured I'd post this anyway. This video was done at the MCACN show in 2016. For those who do not know, it is owned by fellow c-body only member, and one of the luckiest c-body owners on the planet @Fury Pursuit. I personally highly respect Trevor and really look up to him for owning this car, and also owning and restoring his factory black on black 6 barrel Sport Fury GT. Only one person can say they own this famous convertible and a black on black 6 barrel GT, him. Honestly Trevor is one of my heroes, along with Mr. @billyfury. I got a chance to meet both of them once at Carlisle 2016 with special thanks to Bill @FURYGT. I know I really sound like a kiss *** but Trevor is a great guy if you never met him. Anyway, I seriously hope everyone enjoys this video. I was debating whether to put this up but then said why not. I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone thinks of this.

I’m going to ask a stupid question here. It appears that among surviving 300 Hursts at least, column shift cars outnumber console shifted cars. When Hurst hooked up with Olds, part of what separated the cars from the other 442s was the Hurst linkage for the transmission. Are the 300 Hursts paint scheme and body modifications only or did Hurst upgrade the linkage?

I'm guessing this would have to be the most valuable C Body. Shame they did not put the Hemi in it.

Hemi would have been nice. They could have easily made the 440 - 6V an option.

For me though, I would have thought all automatic Hurst 300s would have be floor shifters. I always thought they should have also been available with 4-speeds. Since the 3-on the tree was still being installed in C-bodies at that time, clutch and brake pedals/linkages were being produced for 3-speed cars and could have been used in these.

Chrysler nixed any shifter modifications.

AND the nicest surviving 70 Polara convertible on the planet but with the lack of pizzazz I guess it's not worth mentioning ...:(
 
Lol... how could I forget?? Your Polara, Joe Warner's gorgeous custom Fury, and the grey/blue Fury Wagon (Will??) too. That was a very excellent collection I was lucky to be included in.
