.....To nowhere, I want to remove my 69 Fury 111 rear sear squab, all directions say push back and down and then lift up?? Yer'e sure!!
My seat wont budge in any direction, Iv'e tried extra force but afraid of damaging it?
Any suggestions, there must be a way??

The front edge of the seat bottom is held in place by 2 large hook arrangements in the floor pan.

The directions are correct - I find that I can't do it with just my hands, but I actually have to brace myself against the rear of the front seat and use my knee to push down and back.

Once it moves, then you can lift the seat bottom up and over the large hooks.

Are you talking about pushing your knee on to the top of the cushion or in front frame of it. I'm 6'2" be a bit hard to squeeze in, in the first place!!

See if this video helps ... it's not exact but will give you a general idea of what your dealing with.

There were cars I had to use crowbars to push the sear backward enough to get beyond the end of the hooks to then be able to lift up the front of the seat and then pull out.

Yeah they can sometimes give you a real workout that's for sure .......

I find it easiest to sit on the seat as far forward as I can press my knees into the rear of the front seat, the seat needs to go back about 1"

If the seat bottom was installed where the part of the seat frame that catches on the hook that is on the floor was pushed back too far so that it actually went behind the hook, then the seat can be extremely hard to get out.

The seat in the video has been pulled up on and the part of the frame that catches is bent. That makes it harder to pull out, but that's also the reason they can show the catch and get a punch in there.

The easiest way I've found to do it is with the front seat out. Sit in the car and push on the bottom of the seat frame with your heals.

Once you get it out, straighten the frame and clips out. It will come out much easier the next time.

Do one side, then the other, as opposed to pushing in the middle

Before I realized how you were supposed to do it. I reached down between the top and the bottom found the bolts that holds the top in place and removed them, one each side. Then I removed the bottom. Just like me to do it backwards. You'll need a long extension to get to the bolts.

Well, since we're downunder doing it backwards is probably the way to go. LOL
