Very nice car, Chris but we know it's grossly overpriced.
And anybody who posts a pic of a useless appraisal guide is going to stick by their guns up until their grave.

Beautiful car!!! Sounds like family members trying to make a buck off Grandpa's car. Does it look like roadwheels on the rear and hub caps on the front?

Really nice car, but I'm not interested in pursuing it. What does interest me, however, is that there must be a helluva story associated with this car. I really wonder: How does a car get driven only 23k miles in 37 years. . ? That is fewer than 625 miles per year. It would be worth calling the seller just to hear the story.

I think in most cases the miles are racked up early, something happens to the owner, and it's stored for a gazillion years.

That is probably the case. . . But there is still a story somewhere. . .

You're right Stan it is overpriced but sometimes time will change that. Cars stay on Craigslist for months even years out here so It all depends how bad he really wants to sell it.

When mine was bought new they put on 20,000 the first year. After that, just 27,000 more the next 33 years. Dads 73 has under 33,000 original miles. It happens a lot, and consider yourself lucky to ever own one.

There's pros and cons on this situation.
To have an extremely low mileage that sat for a long time or to have a relatively low mileage car used regularly. The both can bite you in the ***.
My car had 76k miles over 36 years. A little over 2,000 mi/yr. Worked out extremely well in my case.

My blue 71 had around 77,000 when I got her six years ago. I have had luck finding good original cars

We need an update of your dad's car. How's it been now that he's had it for a little while.

Needs carb work as it cranks a lot when cold. This is the best car he's ever had........ what a steal at $7,500
Thanks for asking.........................IMG_3935.jpgIMG_3924.jpgIMG_3930.jpgIMG_3919.jpg

You gotta get to Carlisle Stan. Throughout my life i have been asked " how did you get such a cool dad"

I think our dads are somewhat similar, Dave. I look forward to meeting yours.

I'm 99% sure I'll have the leak fixed by then!
