This is how we do it in my neck of the woods. This is in the town of Mechanicburg, about 15 miles from where I live. A guy wanted to be buried on his bike and has planned it for 18 years. He and his sons did most of the logistics buying 3 plots and even includes 3 sump pumps to keep out water. I didn't know him or his family but thought it was interesting.

Here is the full article if interested. http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2014/01/31/buried-on-motorcycle.html

Awesome, good for him. His family will remember him at his happiest.

Morbid!!!!! Brrrrrrrr......
Put my ashes in the kitties' litter box. At least make myself useful.

Years ago I remember a guy being buried in a fairly new 84 Corvette. They drained all of the fluids and then dumped concrete on top of the car to seal it. Another girl was buried in a MG, and many years ago one was buried in her Ferrari.

I'm trying to figure out which one of my cars to be cremated in. Or I guess I could just be sprinkled into the carpet.

Actually Ross you might have something there I think I'll be cremated throw the ashes on the trunk lid and just drive around the countryside. One last ride in the 300.

What a waste of a good Harley.....!!!!!!

I'm with you Stan .... I want my ashes mixed in with some chassis paint and sprayed on the bottom of, (hopefully), a mopar.

I'd rather have someone else enjoy it as well, rather than bury it. We wouldn't have any old cars left if everyone was doing it that way. ;)

This is an example of "you CAN take it with you!"...I seriously considered being cremated, then put in the console of my '66 Coronet 500, taken down to the local crusher and be cubed. Then, bury the cube at the cemetery.

I'd rather leave the car to one of my sons, instead.

I don't consider this a "waste of a good Harley" at all. The guy died, and his wishes were attended to as they should be. It is HIS scoot, after all. His family and friends respected that. That's what counts.

X2 Your comments are right on. Give someone else the "excitement" of driving/owning it.

dump my ashes in the gas tank and take a road trip

The news this morning showed a dead boxer propped up in the ring, thats the way he wanted his funeral to be.....

Not that being reduced to ashes sounds appealing but my last wish is certainly not to be buried in a box.

But parading him in that glass display case, embalmed, and sitting on the bike as if he was still riding , it's just so, so... so eerie.

I don't see why it matters. You started from nothing, after you die you are going back to nothing.
