So as I prioritize upgrades the disc conversion has to come soon. But with that I need wheel and tire change as well. Whats size is max both height and width. Thanks, Jeff
I just ordered a new set of wheels and tires from a company in California that ensure they will fit. Once they get here I guess we'll see. I'd love a parts list from you on the disc brake conversion if you have one.
Foose wheels =
18x8 front with 225/5018 tires
18x9 rear with 255/45/18 tires
Was probably tightest in back, but I didn't get a pic of that since the tires don't move around much. An 8" wide wheel would square up the tire sidewall more, but eat up more space. I ended up going with 235/65-16's on 8" wide wheels (0" offset or 4.5" backspace) that fit great, and are the same height as the original 235/70-15's: 68_Sport_Fury_V-45-01 by clair_davis, on Flickr 68_Sport_Fury_V-45-05 by clair_davis, on Flickr
You can go wider - I'm pretty sure you can get a 255 front and rear without a lot of stress. If you can limit body roll, and the axle is centered in the chassis, a 275-295 ought to be possible. Will take some effort to measure a bunch, though.
