It's not officially up for sale, but he is considering it. 440, white interior. This is the best of my cut and paste abilities of his posts from that site.
I've been giving serious thought to selling my Newport. While I love the car I rarely drive it. Since getting the T-Bird over a month ago I've driven it 3 times - am doing so tonight.
The main issue remains the lousy gas mileage. I find myself wanting a /6 car with manual transmission. Would love to hot-rod a 225 in a '60s Mopar. There's a '63-4 Valiant not too far from here that has been customized in the interior and has good paint, is a 170 /6 with a 4-speed. It's selling for less than I could get for my Newp. I also know where 2 225s are in a yard i could get for probably $100 each. I could build one of those and drop it into the V.
Yes, it is on my mind....

I have always liked big cars, but driving through the Taco Bell "Drive Through" last night was a reminder that the size of this car is no longer taken into consideration in modern construction. Wow!! There is another T-Bell where I have to back up after receiving my order - there is no way that car can make the necessary turn to get out. Luckily no one has ever been behind me at such times! (The Gremlin has no problem however!
) The thinking about an A body has been with me since a buddy offered me a straight-up trade for his Dart at a Spring Fling some 5 years ago. Parts of me still wish I took him up on the offer. His motor was junk but the body and interior were terrific. Since my car can use paint and the interior is old I thought it would have been a good trade. Alas, I passed.

The reality is I have not liked the MPG of my Newp since the day I got it - I've written a number of posts about that subject on this site. That is not going to change unless I drop a 383 into it - which I would like to do except for one thing - lack of funds. Lack of funds is also why I don't drive the car much. See, it's a continuous cycle. I would love to have an A Body with a /6, or even a B/E with a 318, with a 4-speed. A rag-top would be even better! I could have the looks, the fun, and the mileage! What I currently have is the looks, the fun, and crappy gas mileage. As I said in another post, my '70 /6 Challenger got 27 MPG!! I would love that!
The woman who bought my Stratus saw the Newp and said, "Wow, if I had that I'd drive it everyday!" I said, "Not at 10 MPG." I can't seem to get beyond the tight Scotsman attitude I was raised with. And, as a Pastor, I have never rolled in dough. That's why I sold the '62 - I would never have the money to do to that car I wanted to. Now I have a car that looks and runs great but is too expensive to drive. D'oh!!!
