I just got home from some shopping after attending the Minnesota Air Spectacular. It was an air show at the Mankato Regional Airport and it was a blast! It had stunt planes (sadly now sponsored by corporations) of a few varieties, a wing walker, a B-25, Miss Mitchell which made several passes, a Navy TAC F/A18, the Army Golden Knights parachute team and headlining it was the USAF Thunderbirds. I had seen this show some 20-25 years ago, and they haven't missed a beat. This time I was able to have the Thunderbirds fly directly over me on four occasions. The show was on Saturday and Sunday. If I would have gone on Saturday, I would have gone again today also. Oh well, once will have to do. I will definitely go again next time they are here. It's cool to see an aircraft that old that still performs at the highest level. It never gets old. I wasn't able to get any good pics or video on my phone, so I'll spare you the grainy, blurry images, but I'm sorry I didn't capture some of the great shots possible.
