I don't think we've seen this one before.....

Original car with only 39 K miles. Original spare tire never been out of trunk! Spent most of its life garaged, no rust ever, never smoked in. Purchased from original owners estate in 2009. Have original title, window sticker and paper work. 383 CID Engine, 2 BBL, Torqueflite Trans. 4 door hardtop with rare Gator grain vinyl roof. Tinted Glass - all windows. Lighting group. Deluxe deep dish wheel covers. Radio AM astrophonic group. A/C P/S, P/B, 3 Speed wipers, remote O/S mirror, Rear window defogger.

Car is turnkey and ready to be driven. Since 2009 work to the car includes but not limited to: Major tune up, new fuel tank, Fuel pump & carburetor rebuilt including new float and choke pull off. Front brake shoes look new, rear brake shoes are original and fine. Replaced all 4 wheel cylinders and master cylinder. Replaced all 4 shocks, idler arm and had front end aligned. Replaced the Bias ply tires with radials. Replaced water pump, thermostat, hoses, belts etc. To date the car has won several class awards and a trophy for best original car.
The Monaco was used and seen being driven in a resent Ben Affleck movie titled "ARGO "

Questions....just ask. If I don't know I will ask my friend (owner) it just might take a little longer to get back to you. If you want to see it in person it can be arranged. Priced to sell. Needs a nice home. I can send you more pictures if requested. Thanks for looking

I always loved the gator grain. That and mod top.

the car was in Argo.....huh, I just watched that movie again a couple days ago but must have missed this car.

it was for sale about 4-5 years ago.
pretty brown from underneath, too but looked still solid

I watched it too and didn't see the car.

I like the condition of this one a lot more then the '70 2-door posted today. Too bad about the black interior and the 2 extra doors but at least it's a hardtop. Am I seeing things or is the left front fender and hood a slightly different color than the doors?

it has been repainted partly.
My buddy checked it out back then

I'm surprised it doesn't have power windows. I wonder if power vent windows were available in a Monaco in 1970? They were available on NY'er's and Imp's that year.

And?................

decided not to buy it.
lots of surfacerust from underneath, some of it heavy scale, needed some maintenance done from not being driven much, so the price wasn't right to the condition- Price was 5500$ back in 2009 as required minimum price.

Found my buddy a 71 Chrysler 300 2dr HT in black, original paint for 5500$. That was a better deal
