Does anyone have any experience with mopar mall.com? I recently bought a set of splash shields from them and still haven’t received them yet. Paid on Sunday, usps shipping label was printed on 6/9 and they still haven’t scanned the actual package at usps.
Just wondering if anyone has used them before?

Unfortunately, some things don't happen instantaneously. Did they provide a tracking number so that you can monitor the progress of the shippment to you? Did they allegedly have the items in stock when the order was placed, or were they awaiting receipt of the items from their vendor?

Mopar Mall has been around for quite a while (years), but I have never felt the need to order from them as I could ususally find similar items at other places I could "pay cash" at. And that was over 10 years ago.

Have you inquired as to the status of your shipment and its ultimate scheduled receipt?

Just some thoughts,

I can tell you the U.S.P.S. is so screwed up right now, it is not even funny. In the past six weeks I have had the same thing with two packages. One package I sent, the other was sent to me, and both of them took over a month to get to delivered. Their are a lot of lazy people working for them now, that make it bad for the good ones. You may have to contact the postal inspectors office to find out what happened like I had to.

When DeJoy, the recent USPS admin was hired by the former US President, he is allegely a logistics guy and started to make changes, which also tended to delay the workings of transporting the mail for distribution. His apparent desire was to make things more efficient by limiting some activities, closing facilities that were under-performing, etc., by observation and various news reports.

From my observations, there are BETTER ways to do things in a customer-focused business operation. To seek to be a better operation than what has been there in prior times (decades), by observation. Many people want to blame the unions, but I also would put blame on management for not getting the unions on-board, as partners, to ensure things work as well as they can, even if it might take some extra efforts by all involved to make it work as good as others tend to make it work, even better when possible. To me, the rewards of this approach can be very good.

By my observations, unions exist for a reason. On the same hand, THEY should help ensure their paid membership is the best it can be, worthy of the higher wages they typically are paid. A "different dance" than both sides' management is used to dancing, too. Everybody has to TALK to each other in a professional and civil manner for best results, as BOTH sides seek the best way to do things to result in the best outcomes in the end. Rather than one side seeing the other side as an "enemy" (which in some cases, they can be).

FWIW,

I agree with unions existing for a reason (aka private companies taking advantage of workers), but I struggle understanding them existing at a government level.

I did receive a notification with a tracking number, but it just says that the label was printed. If the company did ship it, it’s been my experience that the usps scans it in as accepted very quickly. As far as shipping times go, that’s been a crap shoot the past year or so.

In both of my instances, the tracking number was not scanned in when received by U.S.P.S.

Rats! I just want my damn splash shields. Just painted the motor compartment and the old ones basically disintegrated when I removed them. This place had the set for $38+shipping, where eBay had them for $75-100.

Mopar Mall = Atlas Obsolete Motor Parts Inc.
I’ve purchased from them a number of times. Seems to be quality stuff. Yes communication may be lacking but parts always arrived eventually.
Doesn’t appear to matter what level of service you pay USPS for it is all slow these days. The only time I get USPS tracking info is when package originates from Amazon.

The paint looks good!

Thanks! Unfortunately the rest of the car will have to wait for the fall. I’ve lost a ton of cruising time already and I’m ok with the outside of the car being “driver quality” for another season.

I have purchased from this company.

They're not Amazon with almost instant delivery. Indeed, their shipping is slow and if I recall correctly it's because they do a periodic "dump" into the system when they have enough orders to ship. Think "Mom and Pop".

Patience.....your stuff will eventually arrive.

Call and ask for Melissa. She'll tell you about your order.

I've had good luck with them over the past six months. I've found them to be quite helpful. Many of their parts are quite reasonably-priced, while other parts are insanely priced.

The business is called Atlas Obsolete Motor Parts, in Murietta, CA.

USPS tracking is the pits. That package could be half way to you by now. Some of the other carriers are not any better. We received a pallet of stuff via FedEx a month ago. Because of another shipment I ran the tracking number for it last week and it showed that they were still trying to determine the delivery date.

I just checked with them. They printed the label but didn’t have the set in stock. Said it might take a couple of weeks to get it from the supplier. I asked them to cancel my order, which they said they would (but I have received my refund yet to my cc).
Restoration Specialties (Welcome to Restoration Specialties - A first class restoration depends on quality products) in Winber, PA said they could get it to me in a couple of days as they manufacture the seals. Same price.

As long as Mopar mall refunds my money, I won’t have a bad opinion of them. I totally understand that it’s difficult to stock everything they sell. I’d just appreciate them telling me that up front.
