I was watching Fargo on the FX Channel last night and couldn't believe the many Mopar Fusie's and Formal's that are in this TV show. A beautiful Gold Imp Coupe, Plymouth police cars, looked like a Slab Blue Fury or a Coronet. It was episode #3 of Season 2. A lot of other classic cars in the show too.

So guess where they are shootng season 2? Right here in Calgary. Had a couple of prop guys call us for 70 era cars. Offered my 78 Cordoba but they didn't like the $40000 restoration fee i wanted. (Its that rough lol) We supply trucks for a couple of TV series shot out here like Heartland. Hell on Wheels not so much...

How's the show? Worth watching for more than just kool old cars?

I love the movie, the series last year was a take off of it and I liked that as well. The series this season is its own storyline, set in 1979. Good so far, some big name actors in it.

Didn't a member here have a car the series was borrowing?

Heck yeah! Both seasons are great. I believe you can see both seasons on Netflix and/or DirecTV. The episode that I noticed all the Mopars was Season 2 Episode 3. Like mentioned....a lot of big names in both seasons. Billy Bob Thornton was the main villain in season 1. It's a continuing storyline from the original movie Fargo which I recommend watching too!

The Gremlin X has a manual transmission and sounds pretty healthy when he takes off when the cops let him go.

My wife and I hated the movie. That was one of the worst movies we ever saw and still mock it to this day.

I saw the movie and only vaguely remember it but I don't think I hated it.

The movie is just plain awful. I've watched one episode of the series, and it appears to be pretty good, so far.

I had come back to Minnesota from Pennsylvania, Philly, the year before, and I never noticed the accent in Mn before I left. The movie nailed it, IMO. It is dead-on for a lot of the state. My girlfriend at the time and 2 other friends were confused and mad at the end of the movie, while I was laughing! The Coen brothers are from here and I love all their work.

Most of Wisconsinites talk with that accent too. It starts to change a little when you get farther south to Milwaukee and evolves a little more by time you get to Chicago.

It was broadcast on the FX Channel. I don't know if you have access to that channel. You might be able to view on the internet too.
