More true HEROS . F-16 pilot was ready to give her life

Just a slight rewrite of history "They screamed over the smoldering Pentagon, heading northwest at more than 400 mph" The F-16's didn't head westward until after 93 was in the ground. They were out over the Atlantic.
 
Just saying the story is attempting to rewrite the record, the F-16's flew East not NW. They're attempting to try to make everyone look competent that day, and we as a nation, civilian and military, were anything but. And to say they weren't trained in this type of scenario is rubbish. The year previous they flew nearly 1500 suspicious plane interdictions. So they knew/know how to intercept planes. But I guess I'm knit-pickey about the truth like you are keeping a car as original as possible.

And no I'm not a conspiracy nut, I firmly believe tango's hi-jacked planes, flew them into targets around the eastern US, without help from the US government. But I don't care for the rewrites of what happened for whatever reason when actual accounts are plainly down in black and white in the public record.

also not saying they aren't hero's, very few people would have gotten into those fighters un-armed to fly their own suicide mission.

Still, being ordered into an unarmed fighter and knowing your mission is to fly into another plane, man, I dunno...
That's dedication to your mission and your country.
Regardless how the military spun the facts.
 
We can sleep safely at night because rough men (women) stand ready to visit violence to those who would do us harm. Or some such.
