Well, my tour at JBLM is coming to an end and I am posted
to back to Winnipeg. My son drove his 72 Dodge half ton and I took the 77 T&C from Dupont WA to Winnipeg. We did it in 5 days so not many pics. My son's pooch photo bombed us though!

The T&C got simply amazing mileage on this trip for at least one leg from Dupont to Butte...a record for me. I am not going to mention it though because you won't believe me and I left C body drydock because I was accused of lying which I can't abide.

Got to see some amazing scenery of America the beautiful.

Your vehicles look great, really like that truck...and your dog is hilarious

The grille on that truck, sooo clean and pretty, I'm jealous. I wanna know the mileage!

Wow! That's the first time I seen your beautiful Truck! The T&C is gorgeous too!

Nice doggie!

What color/paint code is the truck?
Glacier Blue Metallic...I forget the code. I really liked this colour from the 80's and shot it this colour when I did the body. Truck was originally powder blue/ white.

You won't believe me and I don't want to get into a pissing contest. But I was so surprised I ran the gas receipts twice and it's verified.

I will make a couple of comments from the trip comparing the T&C's TQ vs the 1406 on the D100. The TQ is a far better carb with the modern fuel...that phenolic bowl really shows benefits with hot starts. Lots of heat soak issues with the Edelbrock made starting a PITA. The TQ fired with just a twist of the key. This was the first long roadtrip with the Dodge and my first long road trip with an Edelbrock version of the AFB.

I know a lot of folks have had issues with the TQ, but I've never had problems getting them to run right...plus the T&C sounds amazing at WOT! Those smaller primaries really helped the mileage too, in my opinion.

Both vehicles were totally reliable...just thought I'd pass along my observations.

@Mr C

I'm glad your getting closer to Carlisle now... pretty much the same distance as me. Maybe you'll be able to break free one year in the future to join in, I'd really enjoy getting to meet you in person.

BTW, this doesn't mean I have to give the twins back does it?:thankyou:

How long have you had that beautiful truck?

I would have to agree with meeting you some day too! Maybe at Carlisle some day.

I saw you mention it in a post from last year, I thought it was 18, I believe it. I had a 1980 Olds 88 2dr, it was a diesel and I put in a 455 with a Q-jet, TH350 and 2.41 diff from the diesel I would get 19-20 on the highway at 70-80 mph

1977 Chrysler Town & Country always kept in good tune. Specs:

T code 440 thermoquad dual exhaust, 727, 2.76 open diff. De lean burned using ECM dist and wiring from 74 Imperial (done before the Mopar kit was out there...or at least before I knew about it).
Weight 5050 lbs (3 seat wagon).

Mileage Hwy: best recorded-19.1 mpg routinely get in the 18s.
City: best recorded-13 mpg routinely get in the 11s.

This is the best mpg C body I've ever owned. I honestly don't know why it does so well.

Found it, I don't think it's too outrageous of mileage claims that it's not believable
