My ‘62 300 model! Anniversary gift

I must be doing something right… on our 2 year anniversary my girlfriend (now fiancé) bought me my dream car!!! Er, kinda?

Bam!!! She knows her Mopar man real well… This wasn’t a sealed model kit, but it was REAL clean.

I had some Astro Supremes for it as well as these cool Cragar looking wheels too. Here’s the car after I shot it with Testor’s primer.

I’m a big fan of Supremes! They look awesome on the 300.

Thinking about doing a custom Lilac color on it and a white interior. I got it in June (our anniversary month) but I’ve put it off lately as I’ve been trying hard to get my real 68 on the road. Can’t wait to get this painted proper!

The ‘62 300 is a favorite of mine also.
A very cool car with great styling inside and out. My uncle had one when I was a kid in the 60’s. One of my all time favorites.

Couldn't agree more! I (foolishly) turned down a SOLID '62 Newport and bought the '68 New Yorker I have now. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea in the end, but I don't think I'll ever not kick myself for not getting the Newport!

I was very close minded, not open to the aggressive styling the 62 had. I liked the more "toned" down look of the 68. As I matured a bit and learned more about Chrysler's great history, innovation and engineering - the car grew on me and has since become my favorite car ever! The model 300 will do until I'm able to upgrade to the real thing! The fiancé and I are going to be checking one out at the end of the month actually. Might be able to snag it for a good price. Hoping for the best
