Usually when I walk through the door, one of the two clerks will pretend to answer a non-ringing phone and the other is suddenly on his lunch break at 4:30 PM. Well, I might be stretching that....but they rarely have mopar items on hand in our small town store. Of course they can get anything overnight, but it always pisses me off I can't get a set of big block valve cover gaskets or a LA V8 water pump without waiting a day while Joe Schmoe at the other end of the counter just had a complete Chevy 350 rebuild kit picked off of the shelves piece by piece.

So I broke two plastic wiper bushings on the Dart while switching over to a three speed wiper motor during my rewiring process. I pull out the cell phone and order some off of eBay.....a week away I am assuming. Then I start cleaning up the instrument panel bust two of the damn plastic 1/4 turn bulb sockets on the back. Screw it, time for supper. Hit NAPA on the way home, they have two lights in stock and the wiper grommets ! Lottery ticket time!

I have to admit when the first one broke I had thoughts of the formal wiper cam thread. LOL

NAPA, AAP, Autozone, O'Reilys, Peep Boys...they're all the same. They don't keep hardcore parts/tools on hand. Usually only fluff crap like after market back camera kits or plastic wheel covers.

Chrysler still carries these in stock at all (most) Chrysler's dealers. I just got 4 of them this past summer at a Chrysler dealer in Indiana. I believe I told them it's a 2002 Dodge Ram Van. Expensive.....$5 something each but exact fit and great quality plastic and they snap right in.

Yeah, a pack of two was $3.50 ish at napa and the pack of ten was $6.00 from FleaBay.

Nearest dealership is 75 miles away. We have NAPA and Carquest.

Everybody who has a car that uses these bushings should piggyback these on their next RA order just to put on the shelf

Thank your lucky stars you don't have autozone. I cringe every time I have to go in that place. Last trip I had to pick up two gallons of antifreeze. Waited 5 minutes while the counter folks made their best attempt to look busy, the manager was on the other side of the peg board shooting the chit, and someone else did stocking. Lesson learned (again), left the AF on the counter and walked out.

The Carquest here has such a high turn over rate that nearly everyone in there is new. I rarely go there. NAPA here on the other hand has employees that have been there 10-20 years. Very fast and knowledgable. They just never have much for Mopars. And the store has next to none of the plastic cheap crap stuff like the accessory section at WalMart. The store is ran very well actually, I just expect to have to wait a day for anything I need.

I went into my local Napa ah couple yearz ago and BTW, it's 25 miles one way knowing what I needed was somewhere behind the counter or back room. (dorman stuff) Stood there and watched that fool answer the phone 3 times holding up his finger signaling me to wait ah few more minutes each time while he walked one of those three callers through how to rebuild a 350 Chebby, and the other two callers were price shopping I could tell that by his half of the conversation. When he got off the phone He said NOW, what can I do for you. I said WELL, when I walked in here my plans were to spend probably close to $500 bucks for some **** I really need. Then I told him I thought he need to hone his phone and people skills when hes got someone standing at his counter with money in hand or they wouldn't be there. Then I held up my middle finger to him, turned and walked out and that doofus never said ah word! SIDE BAR, That place went out of business 'bout 9 months ago and I only shead tears of laughter! Jer

EVERY Autozone I've ever gone in seemed to be extremely understaffed. Do they do this on purpose, just to piss you off??

If I phone these stores usually no one answers it, when I go there I wait till they're done with the phone. :dontknow:
