Went to re-install my rear plate and it looks like it sits way to low. With the plate on I can see the top of my gas cap, and I do not remember it being that was before. I'm trying to figure out if I'm missing a part or did it always sit that low and I just never noticed. If somebody could post a picture with the plate pulled down it would be great, maybe a pic with the plate up so i could see where the plate sits normally.
Need help getting rear license plate installed correctly....

LOL.. that might help a little. 71 Chrysler 300. It seems pretty straight forward to put the plate on, 2 holes in the bracket and 2 holes in the lower valance but it just seems like the plate sits really low. I can see about 1/2 the gas cap when I mount it, and I don't remember it being that way before. Of course the only picture I have of the rear plate is from slightly high angle so I can't tell.

If this helps, here's a pic of the rear of the bracket for my 70 300. It should be the same.
The studs (with the nuts on them) go in the holes in the bumper.
