The tabs that spring down when it's pulled out broke off inside so it's stuck in the"in" position. Same problem as you have?

The cup bottom supports that pop down when you open it broke off. As long as I use a cup wider at the top it will wedge in the hole. I may just go with the center console @69 300 vert suggested.
