Anyone have creative ideas for placing speakers in a 1970 300 convertible? The single center rear speaker isn't going to cut it with a new stereo.
Thanks

small portable or removable work well, something that can sit on the floor or seat. An adapter for the 4x10 up front to reduce the size to two smaller speakers will also help big.

They act as more of a backup to the larger speakers in the parcel shelf. Actually will need to lose the 40 series mufflers to hear the stereo properly LOL.

I made this for my 70 300 Vert. 3/8th MDF from a packing crate.

Oh yeah... when are we going to see some pics of your car??

ya take that MDF ^^ and spray 3M adhesive on it, then cover in felt of your choice - blammo.. polk audio be jammin

The MDF hides nicely under the stock dash grille... and the Polk Audio speakers were free. Free always be jammin.....

Thats what I did in my 65 convertible. I didn't want to cut into any of the original trim panels so I made plywood boxes to mount 5" round three way speakers... Lined them with styrofoam inside and carpet on the outside. I then used 12 feet of speaker wire and RCA jacks so that I could move the speakers anywhere in or out of the car, or remove them. (I hid a Kenwood radio in the glove box with am/fm..CD..MP3..) It sounds great.
