Hi all,

I'll cut to the end of a very long story about a large payment being put down on a b-body paint job that ended up with the car not getting painted, divorce, bankruptcy, etc...to make amends by the shop, I....well....got a car.

1967 or 68 fury III convertible. white outside, black top. 383 2bbL?

I have no pics to post yet, but I saw it today (and was getting eaten alive by mosquitos or i'd have gotten the fender tag and vin), and it's a "barn find" kinda thing. It needs a top (would love some recommendations), it comes with a set of front fenders, and a set of imperial bucket seats.

I've actually known about the car for years...it's pretty cool, and it's nothing I cant handle (it'll be my 6th non-runner obtained).

I just plan to stick a top on it, get it running, and....who knows...

anyway...Hi! I hope to learn a lot...

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! You better follow through with those pics or you'll be run out of here so fast!

:worthless_thread: ............................ welcome for now, but thats only temporary. You get a permanent welcome once pictures arrive

I'll try to get the car from its storage this week. Then, pics. Until then....:ImNewHere:

Welcome aboard. Keep us up to date on your progress. Hopefully someone can give you a recommendation regarding a top. My Polara came with a new top in the trunk.

Welcome and congrats on your recent purchase. Sorry to hear about all the bad in your past. Time to get her running, drop the top, and put on some miles.

It's not so bad, catfish, just a year lost and empty promises trying to get my '71 GTX painted... but I got a "free" C-body? LOL.

I've been saying for a while "No matter how bad things are, it'll just be a great story over beer when they're better"

Um, my gut tells me that you shouldn't hire the owner of that "home" to paint a car for you. ;)

Finally got it!!! Posted a bunch of pics in early c bodies....

I even found paperwork inside and talked with the Original owner's son. it's passed through several hands before it got to me, but none transferred it to their names...so I guess i'm the 3rd owner... the OO, the OO's son, and me.
