It is very possible it is the same car, I just picked it up on Saturday from Browns Mills!
And thanks all for the very warm welcome message! I do love the color which according to the fender tag was original. The PO didn't have much knowledge about the car as he bought it and essentially flipped it. What he did tell me was it was restored about 8 years ago. The paint is in good enough shape to believe that although the rusted out quarter panels say otherwise. I suspect a partial restore was done as it runs great, sounds great and the interior is like new except for a few minor things.
Normally I would steer clear of any rust but this car just spoke to me and I had to take her home! The frame appears solid, some body panels do need to be repaired. I intend to do very little for the first year except what is needed to enjoy her for the spring/summer/fall. Then I plan to get the body cleaned up, rust repaired and fresh coat of paint.
When the weather breaks I would love to get together with the local Jersey folks!

Well, I always wanted a big, classic convertible that would seat 4-6 people comfortably. I went to a car show over the summer and confirmed this was still something I wanted! I kept my eyes open in local papers and on CL and eventually found this beautiful piece of art. I probably could have gotten a better price but I didn't want to risk losing her to someone else. The seller also included two extra quarter panels, two extra sets of body trim (white and black), and some other odds and end parts that need to be cleaned up and installed (Window crank caps, round driver side mirror, free chiltons manual!).
I actually bought her 3 weeks ago and with all the snow around here I was terrified of driving home on the uber salty roads. So the seller was kind enough to put a cover on her and let her sit at his place for 2 weeks...the longest two weeks of my life! The drive home was awesome though. Of course, when I stopped for gas, she wouldn't start. Battery was good and had no power anywhere. After a call to AAA, I started tracing wires, unplugged and re-plugged the two wires connected to the ballast resistor and voila, power! Canceled my AAA tow and I was on my way. Of course this is still an issue I will need to address, along with the leaky radiator. All in all, she is awesome and she sounds mean!!

Smart man. Best thing you can do is start unplugging and replugging every damn one in sight.

That happened to me once. Left side of the ballast resistor connection managed to wiggle its way loose. I replaced the old connector heads with brand new pieces and now they're on there nice and tight and forever. One little bitty thing can screw up your entire program.
Thanks! I will probably replace the ballast and start poking around with a volt meter as I did notice it has some electrical power loss at idle. For example, when I put the top down it will kill the engine unless I rev it a bit before I start the top down (or up). When that happens I again need to unplug and replug the ballast wires to get power back. I suspect if it isn't the ballast resistor it is dirty connections elsewhere or a bad alternator. The Ammeter on the dash doesn't budge either so that is also a possible culprit.
I am a little surprised how small those wires are though, especially since it seems everything runs through them because when I unplug those wires I get no power anywhere!

I think this is good advice. I am surprised how thorough the Chilton's manual is. Detailed down to rebuilding the engine and repairing rust holes. It also has a fair bit of humor from the author which is entertaining.
