Just picked up my first domestic hot rod. Figured I'd start out right with a 68 new Yorker. It's a four door Postless! Ak isn't the easiest on steel body cars so it wont be a show car. More a stock cruiser with some class..

Welcome. Lets see some pics.

You have some non-domestics then? Hopefully no Fords at least. ;)

I believe I've already said it but I'll say it again, welcome to the site from the Motor City!

Well about a year ago I moved to Alaska from Arizona. Where I left all my toys. But I've had a wide range of vehicles. First "classic" was a 77 Datsun 280z. Then I feel in love with a 71 Datsun 510 wagon (still miss that one). Always wanted a v8 American car but they seem to be over priced and overdone. Then I realized my live for the unusual. And then I found the new Yorker

Other toys include.
94 300zx twin turbo (500+hp) currently dead

Far from stock ford bronco 2

Daily driver Lexus is300

What took you from AZ to Alaska?

That was one of my "dream" assignments while I was in the Army. 20 years in and I never got stationed there or at any of the 3 allowed "dream" assignments. Hawaii being 2nd and Ft. Lewis, Washington being 3rd.

I do have plan on making a huge road trip (probably in my truck) to drive to Florida, then to California, then to Alaska (hang out there a while) then drive all the way East across Canada and drop back into the USA at Niagara Falls and back to Maryland.

Lisa of Ice Road Truckers is my perfect woman....
I'd go to Alaska and get back into trucking just for her.
