We need to see some photographic evidence. Trust but verify...

Looks great. Was just about to post about a wheel decision i need to make. Couple questions. Are those torque thrusts on the front? What offset? Are the back wheels7s or 8s ?

They are Summit 141 Legends in Gunmetal, 15 x 7, 3.75 backspace. Rears are pretty rare 15 x 8 Ramcharger steelies with 4.00 backspace. Perfect fit..!

Damn fine looking engine bay by the way. I hope my brake line tubing job turns out that good.

You just have to take your time with the lines. Also think out of the box when bending. Believe it or not tin cans work!! Took me a while to get the lines the way I wanted them. Car is going to the track soon. I just have to install the Polylocs and the additional HP mechanical fuel pump and she'll be ready.

I have a set of 14" swagelok tube benders that put a nice radius on 3/16 lines, but I do like the tin can idea for the loops.

Bought a new distr block from Inlinetube model BLK243 they said its for A, B, or C bodies with dual MC but it doesn't meet up at all with the new front lines, so I'm using the old distr block for the front and going straight to the proportioning valve for the rear just like you did there.

However I will be going from the front (smaller) section of the MC to the proportioning valve for the rear drums, and the rear section to the distribution block to the front disks which is the opposite of yours, but you have a slightly different looking master.

Yeah, it's all SSBC disc brake stuff. Master is a Corvette master with dual diaphragm booster. I'm also running an electric vacuum pump. Not enough vacuum at the motor for the brakes.

What cam are you using? If you're stock, no worries. If the cam is not stock, you'll have to put a vacuum gauge on the motor to see where you're at. 18” of vacuum is required to allow a booster to operate correctly. If not, you'll need a pump or a vacuum canister.

Not stock it's running 10:1 compression. Good information Thanks.

66, what headers are you running? I just bought a 65 sport and am getting ready to start working on it here in a couple of weeks and am going to be doing wheels and tires so this helps a bunch and then noticed that you have headers on your car. Any thing you have done to yours that you care to share would be great as its been a long time since I had one of these cars. My first car was a 65 Fury III 4 door. Looks great and look forward to hearing anything you have to say!

Here are a couple from the day I picked it up a couple of weeks ago.2014-02-09 10.55.38.jpg2014-02-09 10.55.47.jpg2014-02-09 10.54.41.jpg2014-02-09 10.54.55.jpg2014-02-09 10.55.06.jpg

My first car in high school was a 65 Fury III 4 door and ever since I wanted to find a 2 dr hard top preferably a sport. I found this one down in Houston and the guy was asking $3500 for it and I ended up talking him down to $2800. It is an almost complete car. Missing air cleaner and a couple of other little things. I have started it with a coffee can with gas in it through the fuel pump and it lit right off no smoking or ticking and the oil pressure came right up like it ran the day before. I am building a new carb for it right now and going to put a new fuel pump and filter on it and change the oil. Optima battery going in and going to see what I have to work with. Needs some love on the front passenger side floor and some reassembly on the interior. Trying to find the rear package tray or deck panel that goes between the back glass and the back seat as this one is jacked. It has the original 383 in it at least for now. Really looking forward to getting it going and cruising with it.
