This 1971 Polara Brougham looks like a nice car (93K miles) from the photos and description and the price seems reasonable, so I thought I would list it in case there is interest. I sold one of these overseas a couple years ago and I still miss it more than I would have thought. I just like them a lot, but I already have too many cars! And I know Polara Dave always could use another. :D

But then, it is green..............................

This is the one I sold to Finland about two years ago being loaded onto the flatbed, afterwhich I would never see it again in person. And it was a green I really liked a lot! :(

My bad. I added clarifying language. Neither of these is blue or turquoise, so keep moving! You have yours already and you made it a freak! But few would know.:poke:

writing you sold one two years ago and miss it made me feel bad.

should I make pressure on Dave in saying I am considering buying this one and converting it cosmetically, too:D

Nice car... the one Steve sold that is... the Milwaukee special at $2400 is priced nice, but looks like it needs enough work you can see... I would guess there are nasty surprises underneath too. I thought Dave was down to choosing the new ones based on color, options and condition. I'm interested in his evaluation of this car.

I was alerted to this one yesterday by a few members ( thanks to them).
I see it as brown, not green.
My evaluation is, if I didn't have what I have I'd be on it. As you pointed out Jeff, a lot of hidden problem areas BUT it's not undoable. In fact it is a great car to restore while driving it, once up an running of course.

I think 1900 buys it now , it won't last a month. I'm surprised it's still available honestly.

Steves green car really should have come to Jersey to room with Blue

I'd turn it into a clone of Daves hdtp if I owned it.

If I had known you better two years ago when I sold it, I would have given you first dibs. I would worry Carsten would freak it out!

383-2 car originally with rust in floor pans, trunk and front of quarters. Nice guy on the phone but I think it is a grand too high IMHO

Glad you checked. Rust in rear quarters seems to be just behind the rear wheels rather than front of quarter. And that doesn't look too bad unless it has been repaired in the past and is coming back.

Thanks for the heads up and the tip Mike..... glad you checked it out. With the engine apart and rusty floors your assessment is more accurate than mine I'm sure.... I'd still go more if it were without shipping.
Thankfully I don't have to have it

Looks like a solid car.

New interior is easy to get...$$$$

rear tire looks close to the front of the wheelwell, or is that camera angle!

Oh I forgot he said the front a pillar has a rust hole in it too that he put "sealant" in to fix it and he said there was some rust around the lower back window. It was an Indiana car so I am guessing it might show rustbelt type issues. But he said the front stub was solid.
