For sale is a very hard to find set of four H-70 15 GOODYEAR POLYGLAS tires. These tires are all in very good condition , they were manufactured in the 5th week of 1974 and have "BLEM" hot stamped into the tires on the back side, I have not noticed any imperfections on the tires aside from age. The tires have been stored in a conditioned space inside of opaque plastic bags for many years. I bought these tires with the intention of using them as "Show" tires but never ended up going through with that. I have not cleaned these tires up with any chemicals or soap while they have been in storage.

The price of the tires is $2800 plus whatever shipping would be to your zip code. If you are interested you must understand that these tires are 46 years old and are for show purposes only, they are not legal for street use so they are being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied.

These tires are unobtanium in that size. I've talked to Coker and Universal about repro-ing them, and their response was "No demand for that tire". They told me that size basically only came on the Hursts, and some big Oldsmobile in the 68-70 timeframe and nothing else. I don't know if they're 100% right, but when you think about it, even the big engine E and B bods use the F-70.

Couldn’t you put tubes in these and actually drive on them?
That's a good thought, but I'm guessing that these carefully protected tires would hold air. The issue is the 46 year old rubber regarding 65 mph road use and road cornering loads vs. "show car driving in and out of the trailer loads", and I think the OP has covered that honestly and correctly. I'd love to buy 'em for their correctness, but I want something I don't have to worry about for short journeys, thus the repop F-70s on the car now. The giant thing kinda teeters on those skinnies, and needs repop H70-15s. You listening, Wade Kawasaki (Coker)?

Sooooo.....think about a 46 year old, NOS fan or alt belt. You trust it on a hot summer day? With your wife in the car, against her better judgement? I didn't think so! :D

Again, I think the OP has represented these ultra-rare tires quite well.

btw: You talked to the wrong companies.
Reproduction Goodyear tires are produced by a genuine Mopar man.

I spoke with him in 2017 at MCACN regarding reproduction the H-70 RWL.

It’s pretty easy to get them into reproduction, I just need to order 200 sets or 800 tires to fulfill the order requirement.

Since I don’t have that kind of “investment” capital, I didn’t start reproduction. I do have a selection of NOS H70 RWL that could be used as basic patterns for the new dies.
 
If I had only known back in the day... I would have invested in Polyglass RWL Goodyear tires instead of a RRSP...


I've always been a sucker for RWL tires...:lol:

yes, at some point John had enough orders for the 1969 A12 tires (G70-15) and the 70 T/A & AAR front tires (E60-15).
They are more expensive than the average sizes though (F70-14;F60-15).

John was afraid (10 years ago !) he couldn't sell more than 25 sets (=100 tires) of H70-15
