No Reserve: 1971 Dodge D100 Adventurer Pickup

This 1971 Dodge D-Series pickup is a special-order Adventurer model powered by a 318ci V8 backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. The seller believes that this truck was special ordered, as it is equipped with factory A/C, and was originally painted in Sublime green. The body has since been repainted, but the original color is still visible in places, and the A/C hardware is intact. A few modifications are present, including Chrysler Rallye wheels, an Edelbrock Performer intake, and a 600CFM carburetor. The seller states that it is comfortable and ready to drive anywhere. This Dodge is offered by the selling dealer with a clean Washington State title.

Though it is currently finished in Dark Green, this truck was originally ordered in High Impact “Sublime” green. This color was also used on Don Knotts-approved The Dude package D-Series trucks, as well as the Challenger and other performance models. The seller believes the truck was special ordered with this color, as it was not used on the regular D-Series line. 15″ Chrysler chrome rallye wheels are equipped, and the seller added new 235/75r15 tires.

The original High Impact Sublime green paint is visible where the paint has worn away inside the box, as well as inside the glovebox and center portion of the headliner. The seller notes some rust at the rear of the bed behind the bumper corners and some areas in the inner parts of the cab where it has not already been cut out.

A detailed walkaround and drive video is attached, including a walkaround under the truck while on a lift.

The seller states that the seats are Mopar truck items. The seats and door panels have matching black velour upholstery, and black carpets are fitted. A reported-factory A/C system is present, though the system is not currently working. All of the gauges work correctly, and the odometer indicates 88k miles.

Power comes from the original 318ci V8 backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission. A few upgrades are present, including an Edelbrock Performer aluminum 4V intake and Edelbrock 600 carburetor. Mopar Performance finned aluminum valve covers are fitted, along with a matching air cleaner.

New shocks have been installed by the seller. Numerous photos of the truck’s underside are provided in the gallery, with detailed photos of the cab corners and floors.

Nice truck but those standard cabs don't allow enough room to be comfortable on longer road trips. Thanks for thinking of me though.

Nice truck - the last year for the sweptline series. That's a whole lot of steel in one place to be sublime green :)

Just read the comments on the auction. This period advert was attached to one of them.....

$3500 and 4 days left... that would almost be a perfect P/U for me... rather a 3/4 ton for the occasions I would use it and that one is too nice. I know what an abusive idiot I would be to a P/U.

my 69 d100 adventurer short swept was lite green met with a textured top originally , 383 auto , ps , bucket seats and buddy seat/box arm rest , the guy i got it from painted it with any airless black pearl , was a ruff enough to stuff off your skin . but i load it to a friend , well i never drove it again . just peeled it for the good parts . ya they wrecked it passed bring it back . but parts of it are on 64 d100 orangy and parts will be in 69 d200 crewcab oranger , life's loop still in play , lol . their never really gone , just re-organized . lol .
