I couldn't refuse and I consider it an offspring I guess you could say. mintcar.jpg84 5th int.jpg

The price was right and it is a nice color.

M-body (Fifth Avenue) successor to the "flagship" C-body luxury cruisers -- biggest RWD platform Chrysler had left after the R's and J's went away.

still a nice car - great colors, interior cherry too. always liked them so i'd proudly "spin it" too.

Congrats! Very nice. 318? Could make one hell of a sleeper with a big block, or modern hemi.

The drivers seat looks new, how many miles on it? Really nice color combo, congrats.

Thank you everyone. The center missing from the wheel cover was just reinstalled on the car. The car is an 1984 with 96k original miles and I am the third owner. The color is Nightwatch Blue. The A/C doesn't work. It blows through the vents warm. The power antenna, trunk release, and rear amp work though. Headliner is saggy in the front part. The interior is very nice. The rest of the car is very nice. Believe it or not it came from Bayonne, NJ. Working through some tune issues on it right now. It does have a 318, Carter BBD 2bbl. I hope once I get the tuning issues sorted out plus the A/C converted fixed.

Also, I did look at other cars. I missed out a nice 77 New Yorker over the winter for cheap and the Newport guy decided to ask more for his car. Anyways, we'll see what happens. For some odd reason I still want a C Body but, maybe down the road. Also, I did consider a couple of R-Body NYers. There was an out of state Newport I wanted but, the guy never got back with me and still has the car for sale. This popped up and I looked at/inquire about these cars. This was the nicest one out of many I looked at and inquired about.

Looks like a great car! I always had an affection for those fifths also. Next best thing to a c body! Congratulations and keep us posted!

Well I learned something new about these cars today. Apparently back in 1984 you could get these without tilt and cruise. Anyways, it's still at the shop for some repairs and I'm hoping to get it back here in a couple of weeks. I don't think my wife will be pleased with my purchase but, she's the one getting a newer car anyways. I found a twin to my car on eBay accept this is an 86 and has gray interior. I have the same wheel covers in the trunk.

Well, apparently the carburetor has a flat spot still trying to be solved. Also, found out the car has also been already converted to 134a. So, hoping the system will just need a charge and no leaks. Hope to have A/C working.
