A 1948 Custom super eight convertible. Very rare car. This one has been modified with the wood panels and deck lid. No factory cars built this way. I don't remember the car used in "back to the future" having these wood panels.

1948/49/50 Packard station sedans did have wood panels and the tail gate was wood.

This is the identical car to my first car.

crooked cormorant , added wood, metal strapping battery hold down and dirty seats? price seems a little lofty.

I have to agree that for the asking price, it should be spot on correct.
The battery strap may be indicative of the quality of the restoration.
For the small investment costs of a battery hold down it unfortunately loses credibility of a potentially quality restoration.
A soiled interior doesn’t help the cause either...

The wood strapping looks good in the photos but if it’s not factory correct, it will hurt the overall value but if the buyer likes the look then it doesn’t really matter what we think.
A professional valuation is definitely required to validate the asking price
