68 Polara DL. Fender mounted turn signal indicators. I wanted to change the bulbs and clean up the sockets. Problem is I am not seeing a possible way to change the bulb. I actually broke one thinking it would come apart. I have been looking at the broken one but can’t figure out how it is supposed to come apart to change the bulb. I cannot imagine that at least the bulb isn’t replaceable. My thought is that it should slide apart. Any knowledge or thoughts on this dilemma?

the knurled part is supposed to unscrew but is usually corroded solid.

That was my initial thought. It is strange to have them knurled for no reason. I have them soaking in WD40 right now. I am pretty sure I will end up with the other side breaking as well. Of all the parts in the parts manual this one did not have a pictorial breakdown. At least not this style.

A little late seeing this thread, but here's a photo of my '66 turn signal in pieces. It was a bear to get them both apart and working again.

Thanks.
I left them to soak and stated tearing apart my grill. Maybe try them again tonight or tomorrow.

Got the first one loose. Man those are some fine threads.
I think I can fix it with a little clear epoxy. Now for the next one.
