Hi. A car from Oregon is that in the sk "rust belt" in US, what do you pro say. Thanks Mike.

No matter where a car IS, does not mean it did not spend time in the rust belt.
A car from the rust belt does not mean it has rust.
Oregon is not thought of as a rust belt state.
Oregon has a ton of rusty cars.
Throw away the term rust belt. It's useless.
Judge a car on it's actual physical merits.

Ok, thanks. I have read here earlier of the sk "rust belt". I will look at the car and make an opinion. It comes from Oregon but i dont know its earlier history. Thanks Mike.

Generally north west cars have less rust than eastern cars. Their interiors usually last better than anywhere else in the country

Florida is funny.
Atlantic and Gulf coast cars rust like crazy through out the entire body. Cars in the deep interior part of the state can be dry as an Arizona car.
The one good thing here are the tremedous amount of 10 year old Town Cars with 20k miles on them. You just have to put up with the Special Ltd. Presidential Gold Edition with the triple thick Landau padded roof and the tinted blue plastic bug shield across the nose.

Nope. Almost all the yards are typical.
Anything older than 2000 is crushed, sent to Tampa, and goes on a voyage.
Anything in the yards are Japanese.
No one let's you walk the yards anymore.
You can't ask for something in general. It Has to be Make Model Year Engine.
Many of them no longer will sell collision parts to the public. Licenced shops only.
It sucks really, really, bad.

And there's no barns down here. All the "barn finds" are moldy disgusting piles of rot parked under an Oak tree knee high in overgrowth.

I can vouch for Oregon cars. Find out where the car is located EXACTLY. The rusty area is near the ocean and inland a ways. After that the rest of the State is pretty much high, dry desert. Cars survive well there.

My wagon came from Yakima WA, which is the same basic weather and geography as 2/3rd's of Oregon state. My wagon is 100% rust free!

Except for the barn part, that's almost exactly the way it is here....there are maybe two or three places I can think of where your allowed to stroll through fishing for stuff. Other than that its 1980's mostly all from the land of the rising sun.

The junk yards here might have a few classics but they have been picked to death.
