Here's a head scratcher for me.

Today I was on FB Mopar parts group and saw a Cdn 66 Polara with a padded dashboard.
My Cdn 66 doesn't have a padded dash.
I am wondering if mine came from the factory this way of if it was so destroyed that the previous restoration had it removed and simply painted the dash metal
I know that Fury dash's were used in the Cdn Polara versions but this is a new one to me..
Any experts that can help me answer this?

I also see that the glovebox trim is different as well...

My dash is the red dash with the gauges and steering knob.
The brown interior is what I saw today...

My car is missing the hazard's switch but has some funky push button under the dash.

I have heard that the hazard switch was an option for this year and the 67's had it as std equipment

That dash, like the steering knob and under dash gauges is a modification.

I don't know much about those years butmy answer is optional...iI thought the padded dash was an option , you could get either

x2 with Dave and like him, not familiar with this Special model year, couldn*t find anything in the few brochures in the net.

Agreed, I have removed the steering cheater. the previous owner needed assistance as they only had one arm to work with.
The go fast gauges work pretty good although I would like something that has a more integrate appearance without dropping a wad of cash.

They are period correct gauges though..

My US model 66 has no hazard lights. I believe it only came on some models. Mine being the 318 "economy" it doesn't surprise me that it doesn't. But I have factory AC. :eek:s_dancing2:
