Nice rings and doggies!! Looks great!
Thanks Ross! Yes, that's the now look for my hardtop for this year. :) A bit more sporty while still being somewhat factory correct with the dogdish caps.

I was wondering about the composition of the picture though. I had the camera setup on the tripod waiting for the sun to set and hopefully make the sky all cool colours, but just before sunset a low-level cloudbank rolled in and spoiled it. I've also been wanting to experiment with pictures where the sun is right in the picture, but I'm not sure if I like that one.

Here's after sunset. A clearer picture of the car but there's the pesky clouds that blocked the effect I was originally looking for.

Great, was that a coincidence or was it possible to buy something?

I'm thinking it was just he way the cookie crumbled when they were making plates. Of course I think prisons were still making plates in the 60's I wonder if some convict got a smile out of these.

Prisons still make plates, a lot of them (for many states) made about a half hour away in Auburn, NY.

I think only about 8 prisons make them now and I believe that is for all the states, but I'm not sure on that. EDIT: Just looked it up and there are a few states that have plates made by other companies, including some in Canada!

They've really cracked down on what you can get though. I had to explain the vanity plate meaning on both my cars before they would be accepted.

What do your tags say?

You can end up with some serious lense flare, but I'm sure your aware of that.

RAGTP300 and FASTBCK (for my '65 Barracuda)
We have to provide an explanation of our custom plates, I have a nickname/handle on one, and the car model on another. We are also supposed to put three options, I never do, only the one I want for the particular car.

<<< I had this one made at Carlisle last year for the front. I don’t pay the state extra for vanity plates.

A trick I learned while shooting weddings way back when.
Set exposure for the sun set/rise (or any back lighting you want to capture and use the flash to light the foreground
