Power Assist vs. Power Brakes

I recently heard that earlier (before mid 60's) mopars power brakes were referred to as power assist, and they had less brake feel than the later ones. The later ones, which were then referred to as power brakes were designed to be less touchy, and provide more feel.

Has anyone else heard this?

It is just marketing jargon. 'Power assist' and 'power' are one and the same.
